「黒を極めた黒」に染めたスーツ。京黒紋付染めという、今では稀少になった日本の伝統工芸を株式会社京都紋付が活用しています。株式会社吉村解体の自動車のエアバッグ素材を染めあげています。素材や形によって微妙に染め方を変えており、熟練の技術が必要です。染めた前後で違った表情を楽しむことで、服を長く着ることにつながります。大阪文化服装学院の学生たちがデザインすることで、日本のものづくりの伝統とそれを守るために受け継がれた技術を次世代に伝えています。
(Summary)
Deep black-dyed suits. This traditional craftsmanship is called ‘Kyo-kuromontsuki zome’ which is very rare nowadays. The suit uses airbag materials from cars. This dyeing method requires skilled technique. By enjoying the different look before and after dyeing, you can enjoy wearing them for a long time. As the displays are designed by young students, Japan’s tradition of making quality products and techniques will be passed on to the next generation.
